Love Is Not the Same as Intimacy
What deep intimacy actually requires
WHY IS LOVE NOT ENOUGH?
to sustain a healthy relationship that feels good...
We live in society that has lost it's way.
For far too long we have been going further and further away from what truly sustain us - deep bonds with each other, with nature and life itself - towards an increasingly artificial life that drains our life force and makes us miserable and very unwell..
We are born into this.
All of us.
We are like fish in the water, so used to the water as to not feel it is there,
except the water we swim in is polluted.
We are born beautiful and whole, but like the world we live in, we become fragmented and disconnected as we grow up, and it affects every aspect of our being, including our relationships.
Unless we are very lucky, we grow up with little role models for what a healthy, mature, intimate relationship looks like and often we lack the skills required to maintain a healthy relationship once things get tough; which inevitably they do in every long-term relationship.
The problem is not the difficulties but how we deal with them.
The journey, should we choose to undertake it, is to come back to wholeness.
We come back to our self first, and as we do, we learn to deeply connect with others.
We can only go as deep in relationship with another, as we can go deep within our self.
I HAVE WALKED THIS JOURNEY
